Lights still on.
A vagabond edged closer,
preparing to lie with the city.
A child snuck out of bed,
tiptoed to the balcony window,
raised a whistle
to the mountain.
That long note—
lulled some already dreaming
into sleep at last.
Back to a childhood home,
untainted.
That note—
drew lonesome frogs
to cry,
drew cats
to gaze.
Thankfully,
the city remembered
its dead.
Their spirits wandered—
airing linens
left damp
beneath moonlight.
Sipping tea,
quietly.
And I—
grateful
for a home
that catches
a chill
in the moonlight.
The night
dimmed.
I stopped fearing
the moths
who flung themselves
at glass,
leaving specks
of wing-dust
like stardust
in the dark.
I only rolled up my sleeves.
Let our bodies ripple,
cool and dense.
Wake slightly.
Then
sleep again.

孩子偷偷起床,踮起脚趴在阳台窗户上
打起山中的哨子
那悠长令一些已经入梦的人终于睡着——
回到童年时无垢的家乡
那悠长,引来一些落寞的蛙鸣,猫咪好奇的眼神
万幸,整座城市的人们终于想起自己那些死去的亲人
他们的灵游荡在这个夏末的夜
替他们的孩子在月光下晾晒来不及拿出来的衣被
顺道饮茶
而我有些庆幸自己有个在月光下容易微微着凉的家
夜熄了
我不再担心撞在玻璃上幼蛾以及她们飞翅上散落黑暗中星屑般的鳞粉
我只是挽起袖子。
让我们的身体泛起凉爽又稠密的波纹
先浅浅醒过来
然后再次睡着
